On a day when my skin isn’t so hot but I don’t necessarily want to go for glam, this casual look is my favorite easy apply look. I’ve linked the products pictured below, but as always ask me questions about products you have!

Use a primer for a dewy look.

For a dewy look I like to use Urban Decay’s de-slick setting spray as my primer. My skin runs oily, so creating a dewy look without dealing with oily skin all day can be hard. I try and avoid using to many moisturizing products (including moisturizing primers), and this product helps combat oil production all day.

Conceal and blend. Fuller coverage concealer, then lighter all over BB cream.

It Cosmetics make pretty much all of my favorite concealers and CC creams. The products I use every day are their Bye-Bye Under Eye concealer in fair and their Bye-Bye Breakouts all over concealer. I have chronic dark under eye shadows because of my chronic illness and deep set eyes, and the under eye concealer in illumination is my favorite product for helping combat those bags. Their face concealer is a pretty full coverage, but I haven’t seen a reduction in acne that they promote.

I’ll add on Makeup Forever’s Ultra HD Perfector to blend in the concealers on my face and give me an even coverage. It has a nice feel that doesn’t get sticky throughout the day, but its extremely light coverage all around.

Use bright blush with a hint of sparkle.

For a daily casual look, I don’t go through the process of contouring my face. Instead, I try and add a fresh pink with a little sparkle to brighten up my face. Laura Geller’s Baked Blush-n-Brighten in Tropic Hues because it has a bit of a highlighter without doing a throwback to your Lisa Frank glitter blush days. I apply that from the apples of my cheeks up to the tips of my cheekbones for an all over glow.

Create a natural eye with a neutral palette.

A basic eye look is a simple combination of neutral colors. I like using Clinique’s Wear Everywhere Neutrals in Grays for my hazel eyes. But the basic formula is, neutral color all over the lid, a medium shade in the same color palette in the crease, and then a darker shade on the edges of the eye, connecting to the crease. The subtle use of the variation of shades is what creates a more understated look.

Add finishing touches for a polished look.

For a less dramatic look, I stick with a brown eyeliner (like this Tarte liquid liner) and a black mascara with a good volume. My favorite is always Double Decker by Butter London – I include it in most of my looks. I follow it up with a matte lip close to my lip color with a hint more pink for a brighter face. A great staple lip is Lorac PRO Liquid Lipstick – I have this particular lip product in a few different colors because I love its long wear and consistency. Unless I bite into a super greasy food, the matte lip sticks around all day without drying me out.

There you have it! My every day casual look that takes me about ten minutes from start to finish. Let me know what you think!
